This site is a tribute to Julian Bell-Roberts. A larger than life personality who will leave a massive hole in our lives.
A wonderful man who will be remembered for his sense of humour, quick wit and intelligence (he hated quizzes but my word his general knowledge was amazing).
There were several loves in Julian's life:
His wife, Alison and dogs Reuben and Frank
His family, where he embraced being a son, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle
Cars - drive fast and take chances was his favourite saying, although he was the safest driver I know. He wouldn't think twice about spending 4 hours on a weekend cleaning his car. You should see the massive amount of cleaning cloths he has!
Football - As a scouser, he followed his grandfather's lead and supported the Reds. As he often said, football was more important than life itself, although when it came to certain games he often couldn't watch Liverpool play because he would get too emotional.
Photography - no family occasion went by without Ju taking pictures of what was going on - we are grateful for him leaving a legacy in this respect. But he didn't just do family pictures. Ju was also known to take pictures of cars (hardly surprising), but he also went through a phase of photographing old buildings - even if it meant a little bit of breaking and entering!
And finally, although not least, his friends. Ju deeply valued the friends he had and enjoyed the time he spent with them. Many of his friendships spanned decades.
Gone way too soon. x
In loving memory of our dear brother in law and uncle. We will miss your driving fast taxi service and your wicked sense of humour. You will forever be in our hearts xx
